SportyPal

*All app reviews at RunningDigital.com receive updates as new app versions are released. No review is ever finished, rather I attempt to provide you with a current window to the developer’s products and services. Every day a different app here is used for testing in real training conditions. The testing queue is actually a loop, and whenever possible, the latest sessions are embedded on their respective pages. If I missed something, please leave a comment.*

I couldn’t find this app in the Ovi Store, but you can download it directly from SportyPal‘s website.

SportyPal does an excellent job as a sports tracker and provides all the basic tools you’ll find people asking for. The simple fact that it works on nearly every mobile out there, WITH heart rate monitors in-tow, make this a compelling choice for your fitness needs. You’ll never have to worry about switching mobile platforms with this one. Plus, SportyPal on Android allows for SonyEricsson’s LiveView accessory, for even more functionality.

In the context of Symbian sports apps, I recommend trying out all three to see which one suits you best. They’re all on par with one another: SportsTracker, Endomondo and SportyPal.
