A Marathon plan
Thinking of running a marathon? Wanna see what it takes to prepare for a marathon around the three hour mark? I used this 20 week, three hour goal program to prepare for the 2009 Stockholm Marathon. Under the “week X of 20″ tabs, I embedded my daily sessions using uMapper along with log entries containing health, weather and road condition notes. The maps have interactive features where you can click on balloons along the routes to view embedded running lap data. My logging system proved pretty good overall, especially for 2008. That was however, until Nokia’s Sports Tracker went through a major transition, and in the process lost all the links to my workouts. I still haven’t fixed the links, I’m sorry to say.
Nowadays, most brands of sports trackers provide plenty of resources for the logging and embedding of your hard earned work.
Back in 2008 when I ran this schedule, my mobile setup consisted of a Nokia E61, Polar hrm and an external Bluetooth GPS receiver.
